2004

  • While in Australia, still returned to South Africa every three months to performed at Carnival City
  • Carnival City decides to take away Hypno contract and replace with 3 month
    alternate shows with other hypnotists [disappointed about the loyalty aspect]
  • Produced 6 x 60min comedy DVDs for Hotels in South Africa
  • Returned to South Africa

2003

  • 1 of 4 major speakers at SWAP AUSTRALIA
  • Guest speaker at Manly SWAP business breakfast
  • Keynote speaker at Australian Hypnotherapy AGM
  • Launched Motivational public speaking career

2002

  • Headlined at the Sydney Comedy Store

2001              

  • Australia. Opened Signage business and developed Hypno shows at corporate level
  • Played the comedy clubs

2000              

  • Introduced Hypnotist show concept to Carnival City
  • Started winding down South African activities and concentrating on Austria

1999              

  • Took over comedy club at Randburg Waterfront and developed new concept for seasonal hypnotist shows – never been done before

1998              

  • Started emigration strategy for Australia
  • Started Hypnotist show at Randburg Waterfront

1992              

  • Nominated by the ‘Tonight’ awards for Best Actor
  • Son David born
  • Won the coveted ‘Tonight’ awards for Best Actor for his portrayal of Galinakis in Grey Hoffmeyer’s THE BIG TIME
  • Nominated Best Actor for Artes 1992
  • Filmed the second series of THE BIG TIME

1991              

  • Played 'Galinakis' in the Grey Hoffmeyer Television hit "The Big Time".

1990

  • Wrote, starred and Directed – FUNNY FACE Candid camera style movie

1989              

  • Son Adam born                    
  • Became National President South African Cystic Fibrosis Association
  • Wrote music for "Funny Face" [Film released in South Africa and internationally]
  • Played "Galinakis" a Greek irritable father figure in a television feature film now about to be continued as a series.

1988           

  • Wrote, and Starred in YOU’RE FAMOUS candid camera style movie
  • Guest artist in ‘CRAZY CAMERA’ candid camera style movie
  • Played Sirano a Portuguese coward spy in RIVER OF DEATH an international movie with Robert Vaughn, Hebert Lom, Donald Plaisance and Michael Dudikof

1986           

  • Wrote, Starred and Directed LA PARISIENNE MINI EXTRAVAGANSA and then acclaimed as Director and Entertainer by four major newspapers.
  • Starred with 6 other comedians in LAUGHAID at the SUPER BOWL – SUN CITY
  • Starred in ‘YOU’VE GOTTA BE CRAZY’ candid style movie
  • Performed at both IMPROV STORE and the COMEDY STORE in Los Angeles USA

1985           

  • Starred in Emil Nofal’s candid style movie ‘YOU’RE IN THE MOVIES

1984/5        

  • Starred in the ANTHONY FARMER production at the "LA PARISIENNE".

  • Wrote and recorded ‘Natalie’

1977           

  • Married Lynette Dawn Dua
  • In the 70’s enjoyed continued success at every major cabaret venue in South Africa and the then Rhodesia.
  • Started and managed Joe Parker in the comedy business.
  • Alain d Woolf Artiste promotion agency managed Joe Parker, Jessica Jones, Cornelia, and Matheson’s Establishment – and booked Mel Miller, among other top South African entertainers. It was also the beginning of booking Strippers and the agency managed every single stripper except for xxxxx
  • Starred in Taubi Kushlik’s ‘Jacques Brel is alive and well and living in Paris’

1976              

  • Started the first full summer season at the Copa Cabana in Rodos Greece – playing to 1000 people a night – 7 nights a week
  • Headlined the international show at the same venue for another 2 full summer seasons in the 80’s

 

HIGHLIGHTS OF 1970 AND EARLY 1980'S

  • Played top billing at the COPA CABABA in RHODES GREECE for three full summer seasons. Greek Contract open for return anytime.
  • Starred in the original JAQUES BRELL IS ALIVE AND WELL.

1963              

  •   Sponsored to perform in England with group THE SHANGAANS

1962           

  • Toured South Africa with band THE STEREOS with International  artistes including
                         Jackie Trent, Adam Faith, Peter and Gordon, Dusty Sprinfield

1962           

  • Won best singer in Rhodesia and South Africa – band also won

1961           

  • Won best singer in Rhodesia and South Africa – band also won

1960           

  • Won world best hairdresser at international festival held in Salisbury Rhodesia
    1959           
  • Worked for Vidal Sassoon in Bond Street London

1959           

  • Tuaght hairdressing at the London Instite and Morris school of hairdressing in Shaftsbury Avenue London

AVIATION:

                     Started flying in 1969.

                     Still current as Commercial Pilot and Instructor.

CHARITY:

1978               Joined the Cystic Fibrosis Association.
1980               Became Chairman
1989               Formed National body and became National President
                       National President until 1997/8
